CHURCH HALL ACTIVITIES
At Horfield Parish Church Hall we have many activities throughout the week both run by the church as well as individual businesses. If you are interested in getting involved please see below for more details.
Activities for Children
9.30am - 11.30am
Welly Toddlers is run by a member of staff from Horfield Welly Pre-School, Donna Godfrey. We aim to provide a friendly and welcoming place for adults and 0-5 year olds from our local community.
Tuesday - Friday
9.15am - 1pm
Our Pre-School takes children aged from 2–5 years. Our session times are as above Tuesday to Friday within school term time

6pm - 7.30pm
Brownies is for girls aged between 7 – 10. They work towards badges, enjoy making things, play games, have sleepovers and pack holidays and much more.

6.30pm - 8pm
Guides is for all girls aged 10 to 14
In Guides you'll get out there and do something really different. You'll create your own campaigns, learn and share new skills and fly down the occasional zip wire. You'll explore new places - Guides go on camps, holidays and trips,

6.15pm - 8pm
HYPC is for children age 6-12 years of age
Costs £1.50 plus money for tuck.
Various activities run each week including table tennis and badminton
Monday 10am - 10.30am & Tuesday 2pm - 2.30pm in the Helliwell Room
for ages 2-4 years
Our classes combine hands-on experience with knowledge-based teaching. Take a look at our age structured courses and contact Red Dragons Martial Arts School (Bristol) to learn more.
We teach every child about the importance of life skills, alongside the fitness programme, through an initiative called 'Champions for Life'.
We are committed to an anti-bullying policy of 'friendship not fighting' and can help to ensure our members model this in every day situations.
5.30pm - 6.30pm
A weekly fitness class to music for all levels of fitness (and none!) and all ages 18-80!
Cost is £5.50 per session or £15 per month by standing order

Shotokan Karate is an excellent means of self development, with the added benefits of keeping fit, improving strength and flexibility!

Dance Factory is a vibrant and exciting dance company in Bristol, set up by experienced dancer and choreographer Michele Webber to provide fun, informal dancing classes for people of all ages and abilities.

Vinyasa Flow Style yoga designed to help you to feel more energised in the body and relaxed in your mind.
Over time, my classes will allow you to build strength and increase flexibility.
Suitable for beginners and the more experienced student.
Monday 7.30pm - 10pm
Bristol Dog Training Society is here to help its members to have well trained and socially acceptable dogs. We welcome all breeds of dog and all levels of handlers, from those who would just like to have their family dog a well behaved pet, to those who would like to progress to competitive obedience.
Thursday 2pm - 4pm
Would you like to have some fun learning how to paint and draw , live in the Bristol and Bath area but don't know where to start? Why not come to Paint and Draw, the art class where you'll learn how to get the best out of pencils, watercolour, charcoal ink, acrylic and pastel. You'll learn about proportion and shading too, all taught in a patient and sympathetic way because we all need some encouragement sometimes! It's relaxed but informative approach is particularly suited for beginners so you don't have to worry about producing a masterpiece, you just need to be prepared to have a go.
