The Zeta Course

An exploration of the Christian faith, in three sessions of 90 minutes in successive weeks. These have been held several times a year , and each session consists of:
- an unfolding of the Christian tradition;
- a discussion of this, led by two lay members of the church;
- a short period of reflection, with music.
The three sessions are: the wonder of the world; the love of the Lord; the kingdom of Christ.

Zeta is open to people who are new to the Church, or returning to it after a while, or simply desiring a new look at the faith; and to those bringing their children for baptism. Zeta is emphatically not meant to push people into any preconceived mould.

The Trinity Course

An ongoing introduction to the faith, over three terms of 5-6 sessions each. The course as a whole is especially designed for those who desire to be confirmed: but is also open to any who want a fresh look at their faith. The three terms cover:
1. God and us
2. The story of salvation
3. The Church and the Spirit
People can join at the start of any term; and do either the whole course or just one term.

Junior Church

Meets on Sundays in term time in the Church Hall from 9.45 am. There is no Junior Church on the 3rd Sunday of each month as a Family Service is held at the Church. Junior Church is a worshipping and learning experience. Based on the Roots programme for children’s Christian education, activities include games, singing, stories, craft activities and prayers. Junior Church joins the adult church in time for the Eucharist when the children are blessed and take part in the service. Children aged 3-16 years are most welcome!

Other Opportunities

Bible studies, discussions of sermons, and short courses to discuss some particular topic of the time, are held from time to time. During Lent we usually take part in ecumenical Lent groups organised by Churches Together in Horfield and Lockleaze.
